Paper Submission

PAPER LAYOUT WITH INSTRUCTIONS CAN BE DOWNLOADED HERE.
After the notification of results, the accepted participants are requested to submit their final papers, in english, with a limit of
2500 words (for a short paper) or 4000 words (for a full paper), which should be sent by the 16th of December 2018.
The congress will have online proceedings with ISBN, peer-review and free access through an academic repository,
where participants may choose to have their papers published.

A selection of papers will be proposed to Africana Studia, the journal of the Center for African Studies of the
University of Porto, Portugal, under Scientific and Editorial Boards, as well as internal and external peer-review.

Poster Submission
POSTER LAYOUT WITH INSTRUCTIONS CAN BE DOWNLOADED IN PHOTOSHOP AND POWERPOINT FORMATS.
The participants invited to submit a poster should submit it with the given layout, in english, by the 16th of December 2018.
The Organisation of the congress will be responsible for printing the posters.
They will be exhibited in the hall for the congress rooms and throughout the three days.
There will be a Poster Session, in which the authors are invited to present and discuss their posters.

Abstract Submission
​
The call for abstracts is now closed. The proposals had to be submitted in English and to a session chosen from a list of available options (which resulted from the previous 'call for sessions').
The acceptance of papers by the chair(s) of each session was communicated by the 15th of August.

Session Submission
​
The call for sessions is now closed. The scientific community was invited to suggest a set of sessions in which the themes of infrastructure, colonialism and postcolonialism might be debated from the perspective of architecture, urbanism and landscape.
Each chair(s) are responsible for the selection of six communication proposals at the congress, as well as for the organisation of the panel and final editing of the presented full papers.

and an option had to be chosen with the abstract submission.
